WHAT WE DO

Bodo Evangelical Lutheran Church Council is the Supreme Legislative and administrative body of the Bodo Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Bodo Evangelical Lutheran Church takes care of the holistic ministry for the Lost, Poor and Forgotten People in the urban and rural pockets of North Eastern India since its inception in 1970. In serving the needs of the most people we take the gospel to the people and make them understand that they need a savior Jesus Christ for their eternal Peace and Salvation.. BELC is also committed to provide a platform for children to develop themselves, and compete with those from the affluent strata of society. While we aim to develop these children and youths into responsible and fulfilled adults, we envisage a day when one of these children will become a leader in his or her respective community. Our work for lost people is accomplished through the child development centers, created to facilitate holistic development of children by nurturing them in their physical, educational, social and economic areas. We implement holistic child development through our core programs as in the Child Survival Program and for the youth as well as women empowerment Program.
